Life Has a Way of Making Us Take a Breath...
So my last entry was way back in May. The end of school was quickly approaching and the almighty summer was set to begin. Many of you may not know this, but I was dealing with a very personal tragedy that occurred in my family. Back in April, my youngest daughter suffered two strokes that resulted in cognitive, emotional, and physical trauma. We spent the majority of April, May, and June in the hospital trying to heal and recover.
Fast forward to September and I am happy to report that my daughter is back in school. We still have a long way to go but we are settling into our new normal. Our family is dealing with the aftermath of the stroke and the residual deficits that are left behind. We are supporting my daughter in any way that we can and continue to encourage her each day.
The point of all this is to say that we should always remember to take a breath. We should always remember to be grateful for the moment that we are in. That moment may take your breath away. That moment might be uncomfortable. That moment might sweep you off your feet. Nonetheless, absorb that moment and ride it until the next wave comes. Thanks for listening!!
